This should be the tale of my thirtieth year.

Broken

Well, this thing seems to have been broken for the last few days, but I am going to post something anyway with the hopes it will show up eventually.

Not much has been going on. The whole house is sick (all 4 adults and the baby). I'm sick of being sick, as is everyone else. A-man has been a real champ about it...doesn't even cry when we put drops in his ears.

The last few days have been a blur of sleeping, vitamin taking, TV watching, laundry folding, reading, and calling the gym folks repeatedly.

The things that have stood out:
*I feel guilty about Homie K. I feel bad that I haven't gone to help, and I feel bad that she has been so sick lately herself, without respite.
*Took Mammy to the Dr. and found she has a cracked rib. Couldn't tell if it was old or new.
*Saw most of the VP debate. I thought Edwards came across as a smarmy, southern good old boy who couldn't put two words together or follow instructions. This suddenly made me very afraid. I also could NOT believe it when we spoke of "finding terrorists and killing them". Um, EXCUSE ME, what happened to due process, Mr. LAWYER? On the other hand, I found our current VP to be well spoken, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. I know his past, and do not agree with or like the man's politics, but as for a heartbeat away, I'd take him over Edwards. SCARY. Also, I felt overwhelming compassion for he and his family, and respect for his position when speaking on the gay marriage question.
*How could the show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition have been on for over a year, and I not know about it? It is a good show. It even made me dream that I had a good date.

Enough...let's hope this thing fixes itself soon. Oh, and if you can see it, please email me. :-)

Glad to see you are back up and sorry to hear that everybody has been sick.
I am disturbed to read what you thought of the VP debate. Everybody has the right to their own opinion, but it fascinates me how differently things can be interpruted.
Cheney was a bold faced liar (as always) and the only heart one saw of him was offered by Edwards, Cheney couldn't even back it up.
I thought Edwards gave one of the most intellegent answers regarding the Isreal that I have heard in a long time. Regardless of what Edwards said about getting terroists, Cheney and Bush have actually gone out and killed people under the guise of terroism when there weren't even any facts supporting the charge--that is scary.
