I broke myself
Slept very badly last night. Woke up what seemed like every fifteen minutes to see if my wrists were bent. Why may you ask was I doing this? Four women I know here have carpel tunnel or some such thing. These kinds of things would ruin my career before it even got started. Yesterday both my hands/wrists, especially the right, were in a whole heap of pain. I had read that bending them in one's sleep makes the situation much worse.
Today I did not pick up A-man much, tried to avoid typing, didn't lift too much, and bought wrist braces (mostly so I would get more sleep). Aren't they pretty? S and I went shopping most of the afternoon/evening. Before we went out we had a frank discussion about our clash of personalities that sometimes comes up.
I haven't felt bad today, but I have felt weird. I think I need professional help. I have a repeated pattern of wanting what I can't have...making that choice, and it is bad.
Welcome Cgrace! I wish you all could have been here today! You might have talked me into buying this! Oh, and I wish I was around for the bonkarama!

Avoiding potential disaster
Got up and out by 10:30 this morning. Went to the city. We had a fortuitous run in with the UPS man, then grabbed lunch. While we waited to pick up the food, S, A-man, and I checked out a magic store.
Took lunch up to the Homies A & K. We played with the kids together. They really seemed to be having a good time, and sweet Homie A kept wanting to help A-man with everything.
Skipped meeting a nursing student for coffee. Will maybe try again over the weekend. I just feel so tired, and unable to focus. I keep forgetting to take my oxygen pill. Maybe that would help.
Also, am thinking maybe I need a day to myself. Wish I could afford this.

Shorty
Almost forgot to write today.
Woke up, watched the baby while he slept, played with him until his Mommy got home from the grocery store.
Lazed.
Checked email.
Ran errands. I broke my glasses some how, so I went to get them fixed. Tried the mall first..no go. Went looking for going out shirts. No success unless I wanna spend the big bucks. Realized my biggest problem is my slugnature inspired physique.
Found a second, and much more suitable backpack for this machine from which I write to you now.
Laughed when my Arkansas Brother told me he didn't understand half the stuff I write. I'm not sure I will either. Did enjoy seeing pics from his new digs. He has a real "atomic" sensibility.
Almost caught a matinee of Garden State, but I was a few minutes too late for the 5:00. It really is a good movie, and I'd like to see it again. I've been reading Zack Braff's log. He is a funny funny guy.
Off to the city tomorrow to see the no-longer 12thSt Gang.

Babies and trashy TV
Came back to the bay today. Stopped for lunch 'cause A-man woke up. He is getting really good at feeding himself.
Went on to visit the Walnut Creek Gang. Little M is super duper. He and I spent quite a while napping, and avoiding painful bowels...poor guy. May me think.."Wow, this is great, but I'm glad I can walk away from it."
Came home to good dinner, and my guilty pleasure TV.

My sister wants to see her placenta
That's right...the next time she grows one, she doesn't want to miss it.
Today I was BOY-OH-BOY lazy. I worked as little as possible, and quite honestly, don't feel too guilty. Brush/woodshed clearing was finished, and the foyer closet was painted. I played with A-man a lot, who has developed a real love of bells and windchimes. Made breakfast...need to ask Homie K how she makes her scrambles.
Talked to Ms. C last night. It was long overdue, and good to talk! I'll say it again...wish we were all in the same locale, so coffee and hugs were possible.
It is supposed to get hot again tomorrow, but the last few nights have been nice and cool/cold, and the day perfect.
Getting lots of amusing emails from suitors.

Lizards and rats and wasps, oh MY!
Made eggs etc. for all this morning, then got on with it, and helped S attack the rest of the woodshed. She did most if it. Despite the presence of the above mentioned critters, the destruction was fun. Again, the weather was beautiful.
Waking up was weird. B-dawg was outside talking to someone, and what I heard him say was, "Yea, there is a big pool of blood right here." Turns out some guys shot a deer (badly, I might add), and were out looking for it. B-dawg was kind enough to hose down the carnage before we had to witness it.
Had another good dinner at the Old Stan. A-man, as always charmed everyone.
Glad to see all the fun that was had at the farm...REALLY wish I could have been there! Oh, and Jillo..nice view!!
