I know I had something to say.
Well, Scotchtoberfest was a hoot. Climber Boy, I sure hope you're OK. Was very strange to hear people talking about prices of thing in terms of how many google shares they were. Tried two rather nice bottles. It has been so long since I've had any, so it was nice to just sip a couple of nice ones. Felt a bit out of the loop as far as mingling because I couldn't contribute to a conversation about being a google employee.
Drove B-dawg's car home. It is like driving the Batmobile, I'm convinced.
Got a very slow start this morning despite being the first one up. Finally got packed and had a nice, if not slow and riddled with bad drivers, drive to Mammy and Poppy's. Sang a lot. Recently got a CD with Rocky Top on it...I swear I got all choked up when it came on. I know it is easy to idealize a place when you aren't living there, still...
There was a huge traffic back up at one point that seemed to have been caused by a field full of freshly shorn sheep.
Helped Poppy finish up the hall lighting...now we can SEE.
It doesn't take long to miss A-man.
Finally, I don't like it when people appear to run hot and cold.

Big Money Day.
Just not for me. ;-)
Woke up early and sorted out my calendar.
Got ready and had lunch with my old friend, Mr. SunshineState. It was fun, and the next thing you know it was 4.5 hours later. He is a great mix of totally perverse and totally puritanical.
S and I then went shoe shopping, which, combined with unfulfilled desire, depressed me slightly. It bites the big one to find comfy cute shoes and not be able to buy them. Then I got an email from J-bob which filled me with even MORE longing. I'm just in a bad way and feeling slightly dumpy and dorky.
Proceeding past the whining section, A-man is being ever so cute and HEAVY. The word "up" is used extensively. The day of smoky liquor has arrived!
Up the hill tomorrow.
Finally, Blogger's spell checker doesn't recognize "Blogger".

Oh Boy.
Very jet laggy today. Woke up early, did some laundry, tidied, and cooked.
Part of the WC Gang was down today for lunch and dinner. Little M & M is getting bigger every day, is holding his head up well, and letting us all know when he hasn't been given his food fast enough. ;-)
Looks like already things are crazy busy. Having lunch tomorrow with an old friend from FL. Scotchtoberfest in the evening. Don't know when I'll make it to the city, as I must away up the hill ASAP.
Right...gotta do some stuff fast, then hit the hay.

Deep Inhale
1. The Old 97s rocked, as usual, though I tried to be polite and didn't push my way to the front and kinda wish I was meaner. ;-)J-bob's an angel for going with me and The Vogue was cool.
2. Really, really, hated to leave!
3. Flight was good...mostly overcast, but saw a bunch of snow.
4. Cute baby to say lots of hi to, sitting in front.
5. Nice to know the fam was keeping tuned into the blog while I was gone.
6. Had a dream that I was the person that kept Mr. Pennington from getting lonely.
7. Took my first BART/Caltrain combo. Was cool, and cheap, but not a good idea when one is hauling LOTS of luggage.
8. So tired I can't remember what else I was going to say.
P.S. I think it is really funny that Blogger's spellcheck doesn't recognize the word blog.

I shouldn't bring up what I can't put down.
That's Rhett Miller folks...great lyrics and stage presence.
Just waiting for J-bob to get home and then he and I are off to paint Indy red and see the Old 97's.
Jillo and I were in a comedy of errors this morning attempting to get a box for Mr. Urbane. She's SO nice to help me in all my quests! I'm requesting sainthood. Between she and J-bob I retain my humor and humanity.
Lots of crazy dreams while I've been here...last night's was about avoiding a tornado. EEK!
Managed to squeeze in a guilty pleasure for brunch. Waffle House, except here it is called Waffle and Steak because there was already a Waffle House before the good old yellow and black. ;-)

Little green bubbles.
What I was trying to say yesterday was that we were thwarted in our efforts to circumnavigate the Indianapolis Motor Speedway by an extensive resurfacing project. We did get a mini behind-the-scenes tour through the garages. They also have a nice selection of historic cars in the museum.
We also visited with J-bob's cousin, Natty. She works in horse therapy for at risk kids. She was great and the facility was as well. We got to feed some of the Minis.
Today we visited IU and its surroundings. It has a really nice campus and some, again, great old houses! It was good to see where Jillo is all the time. Also got in a quick visit with Miohmy. He was his usual self, but it was good to see him.
