Just like coffee grounds.
Did lots of little chores around the house today after getting on the internet and making an igmo of myself.
Went up on the roof to caulk and cover the unused chimney. While I was making a big sticky mess, I noticed that the used chimney was crusted over with soot. No WONDER the wood stove hasn't been burning too well.
Poppy and I grabbed the tools and went to chimney sweeping. When you sweep a chimney you have to go get the ashes out of the bottom of the flue when your done.
Mammy made yummy dinner.
Off to play in the woods tomorrow.
I gotta check out this crash pad thing.

Missing in the ether.
I just realized yesterday's post never posted. I have no idea what I said. :-) Oh well.
Nap Nap.
Did some work today. Finished a few tidbits around the house. It has been a nice, sunny, clear day.
Felt old today, for the first time since my birthday. It was all Mr. Urbane's fault. He went on and on about twenty-one year old girls making men stutter. I don't think I've made a man stutter in a long time.
We had a little outing this evening. We tried the Japanese restaurant in Columbia. Oh dear is all I can say. We consoled ourselves with yummy dessert in Sonora.
Now we are watching The Persuaders. It has my boyfriend in it!
I highly recommend the IN Gang check out http://www.marryanamerican.ca/. Thanks Climber Boy!

Pluh and Milli Vanilli
Ick. I've been dreary all day...I'll let you guess the main reason. The other reason is we have had a cold, steady drizzle all day. Sometimes I can take comfort in this kind of weather, but today it just made things worse.
Mom was bummed today as well because she had a bunch of paperwork to do.
Finally late this afternoon I found something that made me feel better..Jupiter! I love this piece of music and highly recommend it for all those needing a little lift.
I took some bad pictures (no focus), but will share them anyway.
Spent part of the afternoon having an internal debate about just how fun being single is.
Oh yea, and I had a dream about those that went to Texas, don't remember the details. I should drop them a line.

Droopy
Up early by accident...helps to turn the dial away from "Set Alarm".
Headed down to town for my chiro and massage appointments. After much piddling I managed to make it to the voting place and vote.
Passed Mom on the road as I was headed home. Talked with Poppy for a while and then we made butternut squash soup.
I refuse to watch any election coverage, but I think Poppy will make me before we go to bed. I'd rather just find out in the morning.
Very sleepy.

History
Up early today. Did some work for Poppy, and we worked on a house To-Do list.
We tromped through the woods and \looked at the disaster that might be known as our water pipes. PVC above ground at 3600' equals broken pipes. EEK.
Had a chiro appt. because I woke up with a headache. I really gotta get my booty in order.
Just watched a mostly cool show called From Babylon to Baghdad. I really need to learn more about the history of the region.
Am worried that Climber Boy has a three day hangover, as he has yet to post.
Tomorrow's the big day. I really feel like everything has already been decided, but I don't know which way. ;-) Let's hope we choose the right path.
Made lamb stir fry per America's Test Kitchen. Came out pretty good if I do say so myself.

A little pepper in my chocolate.
Up early-ish, but was slow to get going.
Poppy and I discussed chores and did some. Showed he and Mammy pics from Indiana.
Three deer came and made themselves at home, or as at home as deer get, in the back yard.
Feel like cooking.
Practically forgot it was Halloween...bummed that I'm missing A-man as a race car driver!
Am missing those IN folks!
