This should be the tale of my thirtieth year.

Family.

Growing up, my family seemed very small. Thirty years later my family is big and getting bigger every day. As you all know, I don't just think of blood and or marriage line people as family. I feel great about my family even though I miss the ones that aren't so near.

I'm jealous that Jillo and her people might get snow! I wish I was there to get snowed in, pringles, pudding, and all!

We went to the extended family Christmas party tonight. As always, they are a jolly lot, very close, and much fun. We had a rousing game of Steal the Gift, and I ended up with a digital tire pressure gauge.

I have been a slacker about posting picture. For this, I am sorry. I was all ready to post some tonight, when I realized my cable has gone missing. Items going missing seems to be recurring theme in my transient life. It really would be nice to get settled as soon as possible after the new year! I have begun to fantasize about one closet, instead of a bit of one here and a bit of one there, and constant suitcase shuffling.

If you must be out there traveling, I wish you the speedy and safe landings.

Mercy, it is lobotomy time.

I think my brain might have been replaced by mucus. I have got to learn to keep my mouth and brain shut during this time of year, especially when I have a cold. I think I just lose all functional capacity.

Rode the train home after a pleasant breakfast with the Homies. Something about the train must have shaken all the ick loose because I was completely stuffed up by the time I got home. I ate something, took some Nyquil, and passed out for a couple of hours. I feel like a big snotty sasquatch. I muddled through a bit of Indian food, and begged people to wait on me. They are all very sweet. I need a roto-router.

I think about others who have problems a million times bigger than I. I think about those I love. For everyone, I wish a moment of happiness and health.

Snoozy, the 8th dwarf.

Today was lots of fun. Lots of playing with the Homies. We went to lunch and had good conversation. Then we went to the park and had a great time, until Homie A took a nose dive into the sidewalk. I felt so bad for her! She's gonna look like a prize fighter by tomorrow. She went to sleep just fine, and I hope her Mammy and Pappy are having a good time tonight.

I felt a little bad last night because us gals stayed up talking last night, and poor Big A-man had to sit and listen to all our gossip.

Afterwards I couldn't go to sleep.

I am very sleepy.

I found out today Texas Pete and his Hot Mama are getting hitched. I'm so happy for them!

Two nice guys.

Well, I am writing this the night of the sixteenth because last night was a late night.

No photos because I have no internet access with my machine.

Yesterday was good. I was very happy to see Mammy and Pappy. It was fun to dress up, even if I felt a little silly.

The party itself seemed to go swimmingly. Lots of folks, and plenty of mixing. There were at least two nice guys there.

One was very sweet and brought me vitamin C (b/c of my cold) and told me I was stunning.

The other made sure I got where I needed to be and showed up (the effort it took to do is, is apparently slightly out of character).

S sent me a sweet and perhaps slightly tipsy email. My sissy rocks.

Snort, snuffle...sorry.

No photo again today. I did find some shoes (can't figure out if they look ok or not) to wear tomorrow. Spent most of the day snoozing. Missed out on climbing with Climber Boy. I feel very bad about this, as he was very nice to ask, and I was excited. Soon.

I promise several photos tomorrow, but probably won't post them until Friday, as I will be in the city.

Night night.

S used a piece of the saran wrap to hold her head on.

Like Dandelions.

What the heck did I do today. I know I did some cleaning up, some cooking, and some talking on the internet. Don't forget playing with the baby. However, mostly I sewed...pillows for S and hems on the saran wrap for me. My back is letting me know I was sitting in funny positions for too long. I just hope it looks OK in the end.

S was very helpful in trying to figure out how to configure the saran wrap.

I feel as though the germs that the men have been fighting, are trying to invade my territory. I am putting up a strong fight with the help of little green and brown pills, but I think they may have taken hill number 43. I will not be sick!!

Tomorrow, I promise.

The baby and his 'rents had a bad night. The poor little guy was so stuffed up he kept waking up coughing and not being able to breathe.

I was up early tending to him so his Mom and Dad could get some sleep. He and I went to the drug store and the grocery store to get baby healing stuff. I felt SO bad for him...he was SO pitiful!

When we finally got some meds into him he slept for three hours. I was inspired and went to the fabric store. I will be wearing a sarong sort of item. I would like to thank Jillo for her EXCELLENT suggestion in this regard!

I stayed here with A-man in his convalescence. S went to Ms. Catpeople's family B-day celebration. I am sorry to miss meeting her people, but glad I can be here to help take care.

I will get to picture tomorrow. ;-)
