This should be the tale of my thirtieth year.

Dad's future office?

Humdinger

Up and out as quick as possible this morning. (Not very, in other words)

Went to Modesto and looked at possible office buildings for Poppy.

Got to S & B's and nearly got teary upon seeing A-man. He grew so much in a week! He is doing this new, and totally adorable, new face crinkle smile thing! I am really trying to get it on film (or pixels), but so far nothing but fuzz.

Work hard on Mammy's present. Got enough done to show her, and I think she really likes it. Now, I just have to finish!

Something came up today that has my brain in a bit of a tumble. It is kind of like this. Let's say a race car driver had driven several Fords, and those Fords had consistently had trouble to the point of almost killing him a few times. He swears off Fords, all Fords, forever. Several years later, someone comes to him with a redesigned Ford. By all accounts, this Ford has nothing to do with the other Fords, and its specs look good. Should the driver take this Ford for a test drive?

Talk to me people, 'cause someone just offered me a test drive.

Slightly fuzzy pizza.

Happy, happy, joy, joy.

I read four other people's blog, and all of them made me happy today.
Very smoky today...so much so it seemed like it was overcast.

A word of warning, per Jillo, CLEAN THE LINT OUT OF YOUR DRYER VENT.

Packing to go to the Bay. Pulling out the long sleeves. Getting very excited.

I am glad I enjoy the simple things like flannel sheets, tea, and doggies.

Made pizza for Poppy and I this evening...ate WAY TOO much!

This was from one of the wildfires to the north of us...HUGE cloud of smoke.

Mammy's B-day present, half finished.

Happy B-Day

Well, I completely spaced writing yesterday. I got some plywood for making a floor in the attic. Did some stuff :-)

Still croaky today. Did some work for Dad. Tracked the progress of the wildfires. Read. Worked on Mammy's B-day present. Yep today was her day, but she's run off to S & B's so we'll have to celebrate when we see her.

Very tired and in need of steam. Also, very excited about my upcoming journey. :-)

Moi under the steam tent...thanks to Mammy for taking the shot.

Steamin' out the wrinkles

Slept much better last night. Made myself a little tent and crawled in with the vaporizer. Was still very sleepy, but less pain was good.

Didn't manage to do much today except buy plane tickets (YAY!! I made it work so that I could still come to Scotchtoberfest)!!! Also did a little travel trailer research, and perused some catalogs. Another lazy day spent snorting and flip flopping back and forth between joy and fretting over the state of the world.

Hope to get some work done tomorrow.

So, who's coming for Thanksgiving? ;-)

Oh, and for those of you who asked, apparently Scotchtoberfest is an evening of debauchery that includes a sort of secret santaesque Scotch orgy. The likelyhood of lil'ole'me partcipating is, unfortuately slim, considering my heaving out the door of a truck incident.

Lazy, lazy, lazy.

I didn't even look at my camera today.
Was up early after bad sleep, and had a chiro appt. Had a massage afterwards, which was OK and much needed. Mom and I cruised the extensive downtown shopping district. Some groceries, batteries, and PVC completed the tasks, and off we went up the hill. Spiral Mac and Cheese, a long nap, and some bad TV and here I am.

It seems like a hop in an old truck, drive to the desert, find a ark with plank flooring, and listen to slow guitar songs kind of night. :-)

Boxes to ship.

Not much doin'.

Woke up late. Spent several hours before getting up trying to avoid suffocating. My sinus were going nuts, and I could snort in OK, but couldn't breathe out at ALL through my nose...so weird! ;-)

Got some chores done, including packing up some stuff to mail. Tomorrow I get on with Dad's stuff. YIPPEE!

Mused about stillness today and made decaf coffee.

Had a huge craving for TN and my peeps today!
